While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Meghan was widely involved with campus social issues and philanthropic causes. She was an advocate for various acquaintance rape awareness programs, a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority, and a supporter of Colleges Against Cancer. Upon completion of her initial collegiate endeavors, Meghan engaged a career in healthcare, where she worked as a practice administrator for an optometry office.
In 2012, Meghan elected to pursue a legal education in attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Over the course of attaining her Juris Doctor degree, Meghan clerked with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Felony Trial Division. She also became an active member of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council programs offered by her law school. Through her education, clerkship, and extra-curricular involvement, Meghan sharpened her skills in trial advocacy and channeled her passion to become a litigator. She competed frequently in mock trial competitions and was awarded the prestigious “Best Advocate Award” at Georgetown’s White Collar Crime Invitational. Meghan also served a leadership role where she coached and mentored first year law students in courtroom etiquette, the rules of evidence, and trial procedure. Post-graduation, Meghan finds enjoyment in volunteering her time to her legal alma mater and often serves as a guest judge at several school-sponsored mock trial competitions.
